I have been teaching for 14 years with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. I have been coding with my class for more than two years. In my teaching, I have taught math and have specialized in Special Education. I am an advocate for coding and Computer Science in elementary schools having delivered workshops and presentations at BIT2015 and ASCE 2016. I was interviewed by the Hamilton Spectator to share my use of coding and Computer Science. I am so excited to start Edgorithm with Brian and Kassandra.

I have been a teacher within the HWDSB for the past eight years. Last September, a student in my class told me he had learned to code over the summer. After speaking with him (and more than a little self-exploration), I realized what a powerful tool coding can be. I now run a coding and robotics club at my school and am always looking for new ways to bring coding into my classroom. I am so excited to be a part of this project!
